The bluish grey jade is carved into a large lotus shaped plate with 24 petals in full bloom, and a flat lotus is carved in the center of the plate. The bottom is carved as a flat flower with three layers and eight petals. It is surrounded by broad acanthus leaves. In 1768, he was sent to the palace. This was the first time that Emperor Qianlong knew the jade vessels from India. He wrote the “Examination of the Five Indies of India” for it, and carved 810 words on the plate.
