- Description:
The picture of the river during the Qingming Festival is a popular topic in the history of painting, which has become more popular since the Ming Dynasty. This piece was made by Qiu Ying, an old legend. It should be a workshop work of the so-called “Suzhou Film” in the late Ming Dynasty. The landscape in the painting is more interesting, such as acrobatics, rope walking, proofreading, etc., and the description of ships is also full of imagination. The whole volume of rocks is colored with blue and green, and the description of the palace garden in the later section is even more gorgeous. This introduction was written by Liang Shizheng during the reign of Emperor Qianlong as Prince Bao. It was an early collector in the Qing Palace and had a considerable impact on the creation of the “Riverside Map of the Qing Dynasty”, which was completed in the first year of Emperor Qianlong.
