Tang Yin (1470-1524) was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. The word “Bohu”, “Ziwei”, and the number “Liuru” are like hermits. In the 11th year of Hongzhi’s reign (1498), the Nanjing provincial examination was dissolved, and after failing in the imperial examination, he turned to painting to make a living. The landscape, people, flowers and birds are all excellent, and it is one of the four schools in the Ming Dynasty.
