  • Dynasty: Ming dynasty
  • Category: Studio implements
  • Function: Stationery and stationery
  • Material: Plants/Ink/
  • Description:
The long oval ox tongue shaped ink is slightly bulging outwards on the surface and is full of complex cloud patterns. In the space vacated by the cloud patterns, “Xuanyuan Reiki” and “Guichou Year” regular script characters (1613, the 41st year of Wanli) are stenciled on one side. The meaning of “Xuanyuan Reiki” should be related to the cloud patterns on the surface. On the other side, “the owner of the East Garden has collected” and “the family name of Jun Fang” are stenciled, which refers to the relationship between the ink and Cheng Jun Fang of the Mohist School in the Ming Dynasty. In addition, during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Xu Tai was the owner of the East Garden. This ink may be related to Xu Tai.
