Dong Qichang (1555-1636), born in Songjiang, is a talented painter who subverts tradition in the history of painting. In the second year of the apocalypse (1622), Dong Qichang looked at the painting scroll of Yan Wengui (967-1044) in the Northern Song Dynasty and imitated this picture, but he changed to use vertical axes to show it. In the painting, several beautiful trees gather on the rocks with a slanting tendency; In the middle scene, a section of distant mountain is boldly moved; In the upper part of the painting, however, the middle view of the mountain and stone slope forest is closer to the viewer in visual scale. The whole painting is beautiful and smooth. The idea looks like plain but bold and strange. It is a masterpiece handed down from generation to generation.
