  • Description:
Zhu Yunming (1460-1526), with the word Xizhe, was born in Changzhou (today’s Suzhou). He was recommended as a referee at the age of 33, was appointed as the magistrate of Xingning, Guangdong, at the age of 55, and was later promoted to be the judge of Tianfu (today’s Nanjing). Calligraphy is widely imitated by the ancients and has a variety of features. The density of the space, the cadence of the brushwork, and the priority of the brushwork in this volume all contain rich changes. Although the words are independent, the calligrapher’s skillful use of brush and knot not only makes the calligraphy coherent, but also has a sense of crisscross integrity, which is his masterpiece of cursive calligraphy at the age of 64.
