Arc shaped plate, round foot, painted with brown paint inside the foot. Peony flowers are decorated inside and outside the plate. Four peonies in full bloom are arranged on the outer edge of the bottom, separated by a half open flower, and three leaves are decorated between the flowers. The chassis surface is decorated with peonies. There is one blooming flower in the center, four flowers in the outer circle, and half of the flowers in between. The leaves between the two circles are set off, and there are small flower buds. The trunk can be vaguely seen stretching from the bottom right, and the direction of the leaves is also from the bottom right to the left, then up to the center of the circle, and then to the four directions. The layout of the flowers and leaves is full of decorative beauty, and there is a big gap with the actual growth of plants. The branches and leaves are densely distributed, the flowers and leaves are on the same plane, the composition is overflowing, and the primer is slightly exposed. The paint is red and dark. The paint is moist and slightly astringent. The paint layer is thin, the petals fluctuate strongly, flicker in the light and shadow. The size of the plate is large, and the overall effect is gorgeous. The Oxford University Museum also collects a Xuande style four season flower collection.
