- Description:
The chicken bowl has a wide mouth, the deep wall is closed down, the bottom is slightly arched, and the flat bottom is concave into a foot. The whole vessel is decorated with underglaze blue and white and overglaze colored glaze. The outer wall of the utensil is decorated with two groups of equally spaced lake stone flowers, dividing the space into two sections of about the same size. One section shows a rooster standing tall, and the other section shows a hen looking for food with her chicks. Although the underglaze cobalt blue double box “made in the year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty” double line six character regular script on the bottom suggests that this piece is a famous ceramic product in the Chenghua period: “Doucai Chicken Bowl Cup”. However, if compared with the Chenghua Doucai Chicken Bowl Cup (such as the old porcelain 5194, old porcelain 5195, old porcelain 5196), which is more reliable in the courtyard collection, it will be found that this piece is obviously a loose imitation of the brushwork, which is a work of the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. The two pieces of the machine are arranged on the wooden base together.
