- Description:
This large statue, with its mouth skimmed, round belly and neck tied, is commonly known as “pomegranate statue”. It may be used as a display or flower vessel. The round foot is connected with a glazed cake shaped porcelain plate. It is common for the round foot to connect with the inner bottom of Longquan large bottles and jars. Some of the porcelain cake shaped plates are discarded plates and washes, so that the patterns of the original ware become the decoration of the bottom. The decoration is mainly flowers, and the pasting, scribing and carving techniques are parallel. From the mouth edge to the bottom of the utensil, there are full of patterns. Under the six grid embossed flowers, the shading is also carved with thin lines. The glaze is green and bright.
