The head of the volume depicts the mountains, waterfalls and streams, and the deer on the bank covered by loose rocks, running, playing, or foraging for a rest, with different expressions and full of vitality. In the picture, several groups of Zhicai boys walk in the mountains with bamboo baskets and hoes. Collect ganoderma lucidum and fairy grass to eat, and you can live a long life. There are many meanings in hundreds of people. Deer and Lu have the same homonym. “Bailu” means auspicious wealth, and conveys people’s yearning for beauty and good luck. Although this volume has no name, from the perspective of its theme and painting style, it should be the work of the court painters in the middle of the Ming Dynasty.
