- Description:
Emperor Xuanzong of the Ming Dynasty (1399-1435 AD) Zhu Zhanji and Yashang Cihan drew stories. According to the reception, this axis was made when he was 29 years old in the second year of Xuande (1427 AD). It vividly and warmly depicts the happiness of the ape family. The mother ape hugged the baby ape and crouched on the stone. The baby ape put her left hand around her mother’s neck, and extended her right arm to the tree across the stream to seduce the baby ape’s father with fruit. The three apes have different bodies and vivid expressions, and their fur also uses ink color to express texture. The lines of thorns, bamboo bushes, reeds and water lines against the landscape are also natural and fluent.
