Ma Shi (15th century), an astronomer in the reign of Emperor Yingzong of the Ming Dynasty, served in the imperial court. Although he is not a court painter, he is famous for his poetry, calligraphy, and landscape. The painting is similar to that of Guo Xi in the Song Dynasty. Gao Gu and Dai Jin both pay equal attention to the capital teacher.
