- Description:
The mountains are towering, the clouds are flowing, the pines and pines are verdant, and the ancient temples are hidden in them. On the winding and rugged mountain road, scholars and children stroll and chant. The brushwork of the whole painting is changeable. Pine trees are drawn with fine pens, which are vigorous and simple. They describe the complicated stone ridges on the mountain in the foreground with short dry strokes, wipe the huge rocks beside the temple with large dry strokes, and express the hard rocks in the foreground with thick ink dry strokes. This painting is vigorous in brush and ink. It is tinted with light ochre. It is gloomy and elegant. The whole painting is forceful and dense in composition, but it has no sense of narrowness. It is a masterpiece of Ding’s landscape painting.
