In the third year of Chenghua’s reign (1467), Shen Zhou congratulated his teacher Chen Kuan on his seventieth birthday by taking advantage of the magnificent momentum of Lushan Mountain. The picture depicts a towering mountain valley. The peaks in the distance above are continuous. The mountain in Zhongjing is subdivided and compact, with waterfalls flowing down. The front of the rock wall on one side is left blank and the side is slightly stained, showing the mighty water and gas in the valley.
