Gu Zhengyi (at the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century) was born in Huating (now Songjiang, Jiangsu Province). In the Wanli Dynasty (1573-1620) of the Mingshenzong, there was a scholar in the student officials of the ether. The mountains and waters come from four different schools in Yuan Dynasty, which are especially wonderful in imitating Huang Gongwang. He was the founder of the Huating School in the late Ming Dynasty (today’s Songjiang in Shanghai).
