The clean and warm white jade is carved into a large exquisite bowl. It is designed as a poppy flower in full bloom, with four petals crossed and overlapped in shallow relief on the inner wall, with stamens. The outer wall is carved with gently undulating petals, and the bottom is carved with a flat poppy flower. This beautiful jade bowl was sent to the Qing Palace in 1770. Emperor Qianlong wrote poems for it and engraved them on the inner wall.
