- Description:
Oval folding plate, round foot, foot painted with black paint, tire thick. The outer edge of the plate is decorated with Tang cursive. The upper edge of the plate is carved with a trellis. The vines are curly, and the plate edge and surface are covered with grapes. Some of the fruits are especially high. When the height is piled up with paint ash, the paint is carved. The leaves are large or small, describing the dense growth. The paint is red in color and hard in texture. The branches and leaves may be exposed to the ground, and the fruits may be polished to give a mellow feeling. The Palace Museum in Beijing also collects a work with similar patterns. There is a “Xuande Year System of the Ming Dynasty” in the courtyard.
