- Image Number: K1A002581N000000000PAC
- Dynasty: Ming dynasty
- Category: Bronzes
- Function: Container
- Material: Minerals/Metals/
- Description:
This work was recorded in the book of “Longevity Memorial”, and was written as “Three Sacrifices in Han Dynasty”. Make a double sheep shape with a cylindrical opening on the back. The female of this ram statue is a bronze of the Shang Dynasty, which can be found in the British Museum in Britain and the Genjin Art Museum in Japan. However, the inlay of the surface of this artifact highlights the decorative characteristics of late bronze ware. There are cut marks and staggered marks around the gold and silver inlaid parts, which can prove that it is inlaid. As for the green material on the surface, turquoise chips can be seen through microscopic magnification, which is speculated to be a material such as pseudorust.
