The Luming Feast was an activity under the imperial examination system of the Tang Dynasty. The prefectural and county officials hosted a banquet for the examiners and new candidates after the announcement of the rural examination. It got its name because they could sing the chapter of “The Book of Songs · Xiaoya · Luming” in the banquet. The scene in the painting is located at the edge of the stream surrounded by plantain and bamboo. Six people sit on the ground, or play musical instruments, or toast each other. The vessels displayed around are ancient ritual vessels such as jue and beans, which should be recorded by reference. The stone texturing method has complex coating points, but the writing is relatively weak, and the characterization is not like Xie’s style, so it should be a pseudonym.
