Lu Zhi (1496-1576) was born in Wu County (now Suzhou, Jiangsu Province), with the name of Shuping and the name of Bao Shanzi. He is good at poetry and prose, good at regular script and painting. He once played under Zhu Yunming and Wen Zhengming. The landscape flowers and birds can express their own feelings. Among Wu painters, he and Chen Chun attach equal importance to the world.
