Xu Yi (1599-1669), born in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, has the name Zi Shao, which is called Xie Gong, or Crane Shadow. Nephew Li Caishi, whose paintings have been handed down, has a reputation for being blue. The landscapes, figures, boundary paintings, flowers, birds, insects and fish are all excellent.
