- Dynasty: Ming dynasty
- Category: Jades
- Function: Container
- Material: Minerals/Jade Jewelry/Jade
- Description:
The uneven dark bean green jade is carved into a large round bowl with a very thin wall. It has double handles like human ears and a shallow circle of feet. The inside and outside of the table along the mouth is written in Persian with gold paint. According to Mr. Skelton’s identification, the name written on the outer wall is Shah Jahan, the emperor of the Mongol Empire, surrounded by decorative patterns; On the inner wall, “Made by A’zam” is written. However, the shape of the ware is not like that of the Mogul jade ware, and the Persian language is very poor. It is speculated that the ware should be Central Asian or Türkiye jade ware.
