Grey sapphire. Cut into a twelve petal flower shaped oval disk in full bloom. The inner wall has a circle of string patterns along the edge of the mouth, and a lotus flower is carved downward from the concave of each petal. The oval disc center is carved with coiled flower and leaf patterns. The oval round foot has a plain inner light, but it is carved around the round foot with a broad acanthus leaf pattern, and the left and right ends are carved with coiled leaf tips to form a handle. The Qing Palace was additionally equipped with a wooden box with a brocade bundle. In the middle of the wooden box, there was an ink script, “A plate of jade and lotus from India”.
