  • Description:
During the Xuande period, many high foot round vessels of various sizes were made. The author once divided the functions of various round vessels of different sizes according to the Records of Jiangxi Province in the Ming Dynasty and the Qing Palace archives. (Note) In Yan Xianqing Appreciation Notes written by Gao Lian of the Ming Dynasty, “On the New and Old Ancient Kilns of Rao Ware”, it is stated that Jingdezhen Kiln “was made in Xuandenian… blue and white like a dragon, pine plum target teacups, people, sea animal wine target cups (Fig. 1-2), sand small pots… These things have never been seen in ancient times.”, This is what Gao Lian called the Songmei target cup made in Xuandenian. According to the above data, this Xuande blue and white pine, bamboo and plum high foot clock is also named “Xuande style pine, bamboo and plum target clock” in the Spot Check Report, so the author thinks that it should be the same as the “Xuande blue and white ground target tea cup and pine, bamboo and plum target tea cup” in the December of the second year of Qianlong’s reign, in which “Each piece of work is made clear”
