Description:
Octagonal columnar ink, with a dragon on the surface circling from the bottom to the top, the dragon pattern is shallow convex, and the gap stencil is “Xiuyi Chenger Xingjia Collection”. On the plane of one end of the ink, a pattern of wishful grass was stenciled, and on the other end, the “○ C Yiyuan Supervised” long pattern mark was slightly roughened. Next to the pattern mark, “Tianqi First Year” (1621) and “Fang Yulu” were stenciled. Xiuyi is the Xin’an Xiuyi in Huizhou. Since the Ming Dynasty, there have been many local ink makers, and many of them took Cheng as their surname. It is worth noting that although this ink has the inscription of “the first year of the apocalypse”, the other symbol of the age, “C Zi”, is the ninth year of Chongzhen (1636). This ink may have been made from Lu ink.
