This scroll depicts an Arhat sitting on a huge stone, watching a dragon with a strange shape and rising from the clouds. The shapes of rocks and clouds are very strange. The character at the top, dressed in a red robe and holding a bottle in his hand, should be an arhat who made the dragon come into being with supernatural power. According to literature, Wu Bin made 500 Arhat axes for Qixia Temple. After about dozens of axes were completed, they became collections of others and did not remain in the temple. This axis has Wu Bin’s title “Sacrifice in Qixia Temple”, and the painting has the seal of Miwan Bell, which should be one of the five hundred Arhat axes collected by others.
