This painting was painted at the age of 86 by Wen Zhengming in the year of Yimao in Jiajing (1555). Like the painting of “Zhu Zhu” (Zhu Zhu), which was painted at the age of 65, this painting not only draws bamboo with vermilion, but also makes the paper red and creates a unique visual experience. Nineteen years apart, the composition of the two pictures is similar. The bamboo leaves in this picture are dense, and the strokes tend to be thick, which shows the maturity of the elderly. The calligraphy of calligraphy also has this feature.
