- Description:
On the flat slope surrounded by mountains and forests, there is a pavilion where two people sit quietly and listen to the waterfall and spring rushing down from the mountain behind. The leaves and moss spots are divided into light ink and thick ink. The whole color is mainly light ochre and light green, especially the leaves are lightly dyed green, which makes them feel fresh and moist. This is exactly in line with Wen Zhengming’s self titled “Dui Yu Xi Pavilion is cool in May”. At the turn of spring and summer in May, there is a fresh and cool scene. This style of painting has not been seen in late works. The characters are sharp and thin, which is also an early feature. From the perspective of the maturity of the brushwork, it is possible that the creation time is slightly later than that of “Songxia Tingquan”.
