Sun Kehong (1532-1610 AD), named Xueju, was born in Songjiang. When I was young, I used my father’s shadow to teach me how to govern Tianfu and how to promote Hanyang Prefecture. Later, he did not intend to enter the country as an official. He built a fine house in his former residence in the eastern suburbs, built a chariot of strange stones, set up a courtyard, surrounded by famous paintings in Ding Yi’s gold and stone calligraphy, and rubbed them. He is good at sketching flowers from nature, and his writing is wonderful. He likes to write plum and bamboo, and even Zhu bamboo.
