- Description:
It is a typical tea bell shape with red glaze applied to the whole body except the sole of the foot. The glaze is bright red, orange peel pattern is obvious, white edges are exposed on the mouth and foot, and the white glaze turns blue near the foot. The fetal bone is slightly thick, fine white and firm. On the white ground of the outsole, the six character two line regular script “made in Xuande year of the Ming Dynasty” is carved in shallow, with double laps. The Xuande ruby red glaze is known by the world. In Wang Shimao’s “Looking into the Sky and Riding Beyond” of the Ming Dynasty, it was mentioned that the Xuande kiln “takes bright red as its treasure”. The caliber of the ruby black tea bell is about 10 cm, which is similar to the so-called Hongwu tea bell in the early Ming Dynasty and the Jiajing white porcelain dark dragon pattern tea bell later recorded in the Great Annals of Jiangxi Province. It is obvious that the style of the tea bell has been standardized by the court since the early Ming Dynasty. As for the Xuande ruby black tea bell, it was still loved by the Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. Therefore, it was specially selected for it to use the chestnut yellow of the Neolithic Age as the tea holder, with the collar wall engraved with the 37 years of Qianlong’s reign
