Wu painters were particularly interested in depicting the scenic spots around their hometown, and left many paintings and poems about Ji You. Shihu Lake in the southwest of Wuxian County is a place where painters often visit. Wen Zhengming, Wen Jia and others have painted on this topic. Qian Gu (1508-1578 AD), named Shubao, was born in Wuxian County, Jiangsu Province. He once traveled under Wenzhengming, and was good at landscapes, flowers and birds, and characters. His brushwork was refined and his painting style was elegant, which was popular with literati at that time. The color of this painting is light and elegant, the ink is concise, the lake is beautiful, the boat is flowing, and the small bridge is beautiful.
