  • Description:
Wang Chong (1494-1533), whose name is Lu Ren, followed by Lu Ji, is a native of Yayi Mountain and Changzhou (now Suzhou). Calligraphy originated from Wang Xizhi and Yu Shinan. Zhu Yunming and Cai Yu had more influence on him. Although he was only 40 years old when he died, his calligraphy achievements were very high, and he, together with Zhu Yunming and Wen Zhengming, was known as the three schools of Wuzhong. This cursive script is sparsely arranged and ingenious, with a simple and naive style. At first glance, though plain, the characters and strokes of the knot are quite varied, with their own characteristics of sparseness and elegance.
