Cao Zhibai (1272-1355 AD) was a native of Huating (now Jiangsu and Shanghai). The word is also mysterious, and it is called Yunxi. During the Zhiyuan period (1335-13400), it was the Kunshan instruction. He is good at painting landscapes and imitates Guo Xi. The ink painting of Qiu Song’s twin trees standing in front of each other, with branches stretching down like crab claws, is a typical painting method of Li Guo School. The thatched cottage rises from the bottom, and the water flows down beside it. It is murmuring and noisy. There are people in the window who admire the truth. The crane steps and loosens the shade, which means that they are idle. The rocks and trees in the whole picture are dark and light, decorated with moss dots. The forest is deep and beautiful, innocent and plain.
