Description:
Porcelain baluster vase with incised peony decoration. Of similar shape to BM 1937.0716.137 but made on a much smaller scale, this thickly potted vase has an ovoid body and a trumpet neck and stands on a bevelled foot. The base is glazed, and the foot ring unglazed. It was collected by Sir Percival David at the Dayao kiln at Longquan and was probably a kiln waster.
