Description:
Altar vase for flowers. Jizhou ware. Decorated with a design of lotus on the neck with two dragon or fish-shape handles; on each side of the vase is a fourteen-lobed medallion filled with a design of breaking waves. Basket weave pattern on the neck and zig-zag patterns round the foot. Decoration painted in brown and white beneath a transparent glaze.
