- Description:
In the foreground, the painting depicts a family in Xikou surrounded by trees. A peak stands behind it, accounting for a quarter of the painting. The remote mountains are tinged with light ink on both sides. The main peak is only outlined by a neat line, which is slightly elongated and presents the mountain like layers, which is quite ethereal and quiet. According to the title, this work was made for Shouzhi in 1351. Huang Gongwang’s handwriting and seal on the painting are similar to the “Map of Fuchun Mountains” in the Nanjing Museum, representing Huang Gongwang’s works of “little texturing” and “simple and far strokes”.
