Zhao Mengfu (1254-1322), the 11th grandson of Zhao Kuangyin (927-976), the Emperor Taizu of the Song Dynasty. Zi Ang, No. Songxue, was born in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. His posthumous title was Wen Min. Calligraphy advocates the restoration of the ancient style, with diversified styles, which has a great influence on later generations.
