Description:
This is a rectangular fragment of dark purple twill damask with a geometric pattern repeated 7 cm in the warp direction. It has the same weave structure and pattern as the fragments LOAN:STEIN.387 in the V&A collection and MAS.891 in the British Museum. Weave structures: Warp: silk, untwisted, single, dark purple, 50 ends/cm; Weft: silk, untwisted, single, dark purple, 33 lats/cm. Weave structure: 4-4 patterning weave for pattern on 3/1Z twill for foundation. 長方形暗花綾織物，深紫色，幾何紋樣，圖案經向循環爲7.0cm。該織物的組織結構及圖案與兩件分別收藏于大英博物館（編號爲MAS.387）和V&A博物館（編號爲LOAN.STEIN.387）的織物相同。 組織結構： 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，深紫色，50根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，深紫色，33根/cm；組織：3/1Z向斜紋地上4-4緯浮長顯花。
