Description:
Two very fragile fragments of silk damask on plain weave, dyed with clamp resist dyeing technique in orange and blue, then painted with ink outline and brown ground afterwards. Fragment a, in a square shape, has a selvage wide in 0.6cm, and fragment b is in a narrow rectangular shape. Both were woven on plain weave with tiny diamond grid, repeated 0.3cm in warp direction and 0.2cm in weft direction. The dyed pattern is too incomplete to identify, but a floral centre could be found on the fragment b. Weave structures: Warp: silk, untwisted, single, 44 ends/cm; Weft: silk, untwisted, 36 lats/cm. Weave structure: weft floats on 1/1 plain weave. 兩片極爲破損的絲織品殘片，先由紅、藍兩色夾纈製成再上加墨色和棕色手繪。殘片a呈方形，有一邊爲寬0.6cm的幅邊，殘片b呈窄長形。織物均織成平紋地上極小的方格紋，經向循環0.3cm，緯向循環0.2cm。夾纈染成的圖案因爲織物過於殘破而難以確定，但在殘片b上有一花卉圖案的中心。 組織結構： 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，44根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，36根/cm；組織：1/1平紋上緯浮顯花。
