Description:
This rectangular fragment of blue twill damask has a honeycomb grid enclosing a little dot in the centre. The weave structure, 4-ends twill damask in different directions, is typical of the Tang dynasty. The pattern repeat is 1.1 cm in the warp direction and 1.4 cm in the weft direction. On one side, there is a selvedge, 0.7 cm wide, with 3/1Z twill weave. Weave structures: Warp: silk, untwisted, single, blue, 44 ends/cm; Weft: silk, untwisted, single, blue, 24 lats/cm. Weave structure: 3/1Z twill for pattern on 1/3S twill for foundation. 長方形暗花綾織物，藍色，採用中唐至五代非常典型的四枚異向綾。圖案爲六角龜背骨架中點綴有小圓點紋樣，圖案經向循環爲1.1cm，緯向循環爲1.4cm。織物一側留有寬0.7cm的幅邊，以3/1Z向斜紋組織織成。 組織結構： 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，藍色，44根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，藍色，24根/cm；組織：3/1Z向斜紋地上以1/3S向斜紋組織顯花。
