Description:
The clamp-resist dyed pattern on this fragment of plain woven silk has two medallions with branches, leaves and flowers, which were dyed using one set of clamp blocks, with two colours, yellow (probably faded from red) for the flowers and blue for the leaves. The outline of the pattern has an even width, about 0.15 cm and one can see clearly where the silk fabric was folded. There is a similar example in the State Hermitage Museum, in which the same clamp-resist dyed silk was used to make a banner panel (Дх56).1 It is therefore reasonable to assume that this fragment also came from a banner made of clamp-resist dyed silk. Weave structures: Warp: silk, untwisted, single, 48 ends/cm; Weft: silk, untwisted, 24 lats/cm. Weave structure: 1/1 plain weave. 用夾纈製成的絲織品殘片。圖案爲兩朵團花以及部分枝頭上的葉子和小花。圖案包括兩種基本色彩，一是黃色（也可能是紅色的褪色）用於染花，二是藍色用於染葉。花葉之間的空隙處非常穩定，寬度保持在0.15cm左右。織物上還有一處爲夾纈的對稱軸，夾染時織物在此折叠。聖彼得堡愛米塔實博物館也收藏有一件可資比較的幡(Дх56, 203a, 208)，制幡所用織物包括幡身、幡帶和幡首等基本都與此件織物基本相同，因此，此件織物可能來自一件用同樣織物製成的幡。 組織結構： 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，48根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，24根/cm；組織：1/1平紋。
