Fang Congyi was a Zhengyi Taoist priest in the Qing Palace on Longhu Mountain in Jiangxi in the late Yuan Dynasty. In his early years, he learned the mysteries of nature through his travels in famous mountains and rivers, and made many friends in the north with his talents, such as Mongolian Taoist Zhang Yanfu and Semu Jinshi Yu Que.
