Description:
This purple gauze shows a pattern of circles inside a polygon grid with a repeat of 2.4 cm in the warp direction and 2.9 cm in the weft direction. It has a selvedge, 0.4 cm wide, in plain weave on one side. This piece shares the same Stein number with five pieces in the V&A (LOAN:STEIN.390:1-5). Weave structures: Warp: silk, untwisted, single, purple, 26 ends/cm; Weft: silk, untwisted, single, purple, 16 lats/cm. Weave structure: 1:1 gauze foundation weave with weft floats for pattern. 紫色暗花紗織物，圖案主題爲幾何紋樣，在共邊的八角形骨架中填入圓圈形，每個八角形間則以方塊連接，圖案經向循環爲2.4cm，緯向循環爲2.9cm。織物一側留有幅邊，寬約0.4cm，以平紋織成。此類紗殘片在V&A博物館也有多片收藏（LOAN:STEIN.390.1-5）。 組織結構： 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，紫色，26根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，紫色，16根/cm；組織：1:1絞紗組織地上以緯浮長起花。
