Ni Zan (1301-1374 AD), a native of Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, was born in Yuanzhen Town, with the name of Yunlin and Weiweng. His family was rich, built a Qingkan Pavilion, collected ancient calligraphy and painting, and was especially good at landscapes. He was one of the four great masters of the Yuan Dynasty.
