Description:
Cylindrical teapot with flat-sided, curved spout, two ring attachments on the shoulder for the handles and original flat cover with two oval holes. Made in porcelain decorated with a deep rose ground, stylised chrysanthemums in white, four white roundels with an auspicious wish. Scrolling border around the shoulder and pattern around foot are in blue, pale green, yellow and rose, with a red scroll round the collar. Base with a central glazed circle and seal scratched out, perhaps to claim an earlier date.
