Description:
Cylindrical teapot with a curved spout, two ring attachments on the shoulder for the double handles and a flat cover with two oval holes in the centre. Made in porcelain decorated with underglaze cobalt blue lozenge bands round the shoulder and a wider band round the foot; painted in coloured enamels with a lakeside scene; a scholar with a staff standing underneath the trees near a hut, with a stone bridge to the left and a small boat and single figure on the lake. On the other side there is an inscription, followed by a small red leaf-like seal. Base with unglazed outer ring, glazed centre and a six-character red stamp.
