Comments:Teapot made in China. Spout has been lengthened so that the tea can be pouted from a greater height. The pot has also been further decorated locally. Tea only started being drunk in the 1950s in Burkina. Tea pots and glasses were imported and modified to make them ‘traditional.’ Tea pots are bought in the market and then the additional decoration is commissioned separately. Specific prices are asked for set work. There are also different rates paid for grades of work carried out on the spout.
