Description:
Cylindrical teapot with bail handles. Hand potted, unusually heavy. Landscape with pagoda and man poling boat. Man in pavilion watches him. Shoulder, Back, and cover are inscribed. Round seal on the small glazed recessed center of the foot. The diameter of foot of the pot is 13.5 cm; dia. of seal is 2.2 cm. Cylindrical teapot with curved spout, two ring attachments on the shoulder for the double handles and cover with two oval holes in the centre. Made in porcelain painted in coloured enamels with a landscape with a waterside pavilion under a large tree in the foreground; a boatman crosses the river watched by a figure in a red coat in the pavilion, with a pagoda and mountains in the distance. Upper centre there is an inscription in small characters; with inscriptions on the other side, on the shoulder and cover. Base with unglazed outer ring and glazed centre with a round red seal.
