Description:
Carved ivory table screen with an integral ivory stand. One side is depicted with a female immortal holding a fly whisk with her handmaid who is carrying two peaches on a branch. They stand under a pine tree with two squirrels on its branches. The other side is depicted with a branch of pomegranate fruits and bunch of grapes, both suggestive of fecundity. Traces of colouring can be found on the reverse.
