Description:
This rectangular fragment is made of red patterned complex silk gauze. A curve can be seen on the 4-end complex gauze ground, woven in alternating gauze, and is perhaps a section of a large scroll pattern. The faded red on the surface suggests that this piece was once part of a layered streamer on a valance. Weave structures: Warp: silk, untwisted, single, red, 54 ends/cm; Weft: silk, untwisted, single, red, 15 lats/cm. Weave structure: 2-end complex gauze for pattern on 4-end complex gauze for foundation. 方形紅色四經絞暗花羅織物。在織物一側可見二經絞形成的曲線圖案，可能屬於某大型卷草紋樣的一部分。在織物表面可看到明顯的褪色印迹，根據痕迹的形狀推測，此織物原應屬於鱗形垂帶的一部分。 組織結構： 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，紅色，54根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，紅色，15根/cm；組織：四經絞地上以二經絞組織起花。
